VE Day 80

Carthorpe will be celebrating VE Day 80 years on, on Thursday 8th May 2025. Celebrations will be in the form of a 1940's themed evening held at Carthorpe House Farm Buildings (The Square) starting at 18:30. There will be Fish & Chip supper and Drinks and Beacon Lighting as part of the National Celebration of this momentous part of our History. We hope to see you all there! <%wjps Gallery |1 | 5 | />

Carthorpe Village celebrated the 80th Anniversary of D-Day on 6th June 2024. We gathered at Carthorpe House Farm enjoyed Fish & Chips and took part in the National Beacon Lighting ceremony to pay tribute to the men & women who helped to liberate Europe 80 years ago. On the 7th May 2023 Carthorpe gathered at the Manor to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. Music and a Hog Roast as well as games, a bar and a great get together event! Good Times. God Save the King! <%wjps Gallery |1 | 2 | />

On Thursday 2nd June 2022 Carthorpe came together to celebrate HM Queen Elizabeths Platinum Jubilee. As a National Beacon site we lit our beacon for the first time and celebrated with a BBQ and Ceileidh Dancing. Some photos of the event are here. <%wjps Gallery |1 | 3 | />
